Your website hosting comes with comprehensive website statistics as standard. Website statistics provide you with a wealth of information on the visitors to your website.

1. Go to your website statitics page
Go to www.yourwebsite.com/logs/logs.cgi

2. Enter your username and password
You are given these in your welcome email.

3. Summary
The usage summary will look similar to this:

It displays the popularity of your website over the preceeding 12 months.

4. Summary by month
Below this, the summary by month is displayed:

This shows the Pages / Files / Hits data in more detail, and also shows Visits, which is the number of unique visitors.

5. Click on a month for more information
Clicking one of the months in the left column deveals more detailed information about that month. This includes the following:

Detailed hit analysis
Numerous hit statistics, such as the number of "page not found" messages and the maximum hits per hour.

Daily usage
The popularity of each day in the given month.

Hourly usage
The popularity of each hour of the day in the given month:

In this case, there are few visitors in the early hours of the morning, a rapid increase in popularity as the working days begins, and the most popular time to visit the website is midday.

Top URLs
The most popular web pages and files.

Top entry pages
The pages most used to first enter the website.

Top exit pages
The pages from which most people leave the website.

Top sites and top referrers
The web pages that direct the most traffic to your website.

Search strings
The most commonly used words used to find your website via search engines.

Top usernames
If you have a members-only section, these are the most active usernames used to access the members-only section.

Total user agents
This lists the web browsers used to access your website.

Usage by country
Which countries your viewers come from.
